The Tor Kal were nomadic tribes in the southern deserts before settling down permanently. They have a lust for war, and great tenacity.

Background

In 2046 FK, the nomadic tribes of the southern deserts gathered together for the first time in over 175 years to form a loose coalition to defend themselves from the increasing outsider presence due to the Gornya's new inventions that made long-distance travel feasible. The resulting coalition is constantly shifting, with leadership and even the name changing depending on which clan has power at the time.

Tribes

There are 18 major tribes, and 31 minor ones. Major tribes are known as Telcors, while the minor tribes are known as Arits.

Major Telcors

Listed below are the borderlands Telcors. They create a defensive shield that keeps most people out unless they have proper authorization. Because of the Blue Rocks Telcor's foreign policy, and the constantly shifting political landscape, only a few Teclors are actually known, and those only because of their proximity to the Borderwall.

  • Canto: Historically the smallest, yet most influential of the 18 Telcor. The are the most open-minded of all Tor Kal. Recently regained control of the coalition from the Blue Rocks Telcor. They have settled at the northernmost part of the desert, near the border with the Anath.
  • Blue Rocks: Xenophobic and secretive, the Blue Rocks Telcor grabbed power over the coalition by killing the leaders of the other *Telcors, then proceeded to erect a large wall at the border of the desert.
  • Cold Springs: Nestled in a large cliff face, the Cold Springs Telcor built an incredible city, fed by 3 freshwater springs. The most agricultural of all the Tor Kal, they trade food for necessities. When under attack, they can survive a seige lasting years due to their freshwater springs and massive defensive tunnels built into the cliff.

The three Telcors listed below have very little information known beside their names.
